Life Partner vs. Soulmate.

FullSizeRender-5Is it possible to move too fast while going with the flow?

I ask myself this every single time I’m in a situation that takes me completely off guard. You know those too good to be true type of situations? The ones you question every now and then to make sure it’s really happening? Well, that’s how I’m feeling. How is it possible to accidentally cross paths with someone and just automatically click?

Someone was talking to me about soulmates and life partners the other day, and how you’re supposed to marry your life parter and not your soulmate. I thought he was crazy so I did some research and came across this website. This is how they define the two:

Soul Mate: Someone who is aligned with your soul and is sent to challenge, awaken and stir different parts of you in order for your soul to transcend to a higher level of consciousness and awareness. Once the lesson has been learnt, physical separation usually occurs.

Life Partner: A companion, a friend, a stable and secure individual who you can lean on, trust and depend on to help you through life. There is a mutual feeling of love and respect and you are both in sync with each others needs and wants.

Crazy right?
When I really started thinking about it, I first realized that I’ve been titling people all wrong. (haha) Then I realized I have both been and met people who were literally my soulmate(s). Which is still insane to me because I always thought your soulmate was the person you were supposed to spend your life with.

516360635_640The times that I thought my life would fall apart without them because they triggered parts of me I didn’t know existed…I was just being taught a lesson. It’s crazy to think someone can heighten certain senses and evoke parts of you that no one else knows exist simply because it’s written that way.
THEN, you have that person who is every emotion and characteristic you need them to be in one; your life partner. It makes so much sense to spend your life with someone who grows with you, learns with you and connects with you deeper each day, in every aspect of life. Your life partner is your backbone while your soulmate is something like a sugar rush, which eventually causes you to crash. Featured Image -- 431

I say all of this to say, it’s so refreshing to connect with an energy similar to your own. I always talk about meeting people who are in need whenever we cross paths, and how I feel obligated to help them out of their situation, even if it ends with us parting ways. But, I never talk about meeting someone who wants to give to me, what I’ve constantly given to others without reciprocation.

I’ve never considered the fact that we all have multiple soulmates and maybe even life partners in this world, but now that I’m actively deciphering the two,  I guess y’all can say I’m still a little caught off guard by it all, which is why I posed my initial question.

So, is it possible to move too fast while going with the flow?

For me, going with the flow means riding the wave until you can’t anymore. There is no right or wrong way to do it. It’s not until you attempt to fight, break or tamper with the flow that things get unstable. If it feels right, let it manifest.

What do you guys think?
